Lim Boon Kwee is an accomplished global hotelier with extensive years of experience in the hospitality industry across a spectrum of international brands. During his tenure as the Chief Operating Officer of Dusit International from March 2016 till April 2022, he has successfully grown the group’s portfolio from 26 to 47 hotels in 12 countries and more than 50 properties in the pipeline. Responsible for the overall financial and operational responsibilities of Dusit’s Hotel Business, he oversees all the hotel corporate functions in Sales & Marketing, Rooms, Food & Beverage, Finance, Quality Management, Engineering, Technical Services, as well as Development to expand the company’s global footprint.

From March 2013 till April 2022, Boon Kwee is the President of Dusit Fudu Hotel Management Company Ltd., Dusit’s joint venture company based in Shanghai, China. He concurrently held this position with the Group’s Chief Operating Officer role.

Prior to Dusit, Boon Kwee was the Senior Vice President of Millennium and Copthorne for Asia. His comprehensive hotel experience included managing properties in Shangri-La, Westin, Sheraton, Rosewood (formerly New World), and IHG in Singapore, China and USA. He has also gained a wealth of experience whilst working at the Westin Hotels in Singapore with 2050 rooms and oversaw the biggest hotel F&B operation in Singapore at that time with 15 restaurants and over 80,000 square feet of meeting/catering facilities.

Boon Kwee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Hotel & Restaurant Management) from the University of Denver, Colorado, USA and a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Boon Kwee steers and manages SHATEC, Asia Pacific’s leading hospitality school, and continue to enhance its goal of nurturing a sustained resource of future-ready talents for the evolving tourism industry.
