Dr Michael A. Kruesi is an Associate Professor in the Hospitality and Tourism Management Programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology. He holds a PhD from Auckland University of Technology and a Master of International Business (MIB) from the University of Auckland.

Dr Kruesi’s research focuses on sustainability as both a guiding principle and operational objective within the hospitality industry. His work explores how businesses can achieve long-term resilience and competitive advantage through effective leadership, environmental stewardship, and innovation that is data-driven and technology-enabled.

His primary research interests include non-equity governance structures, leadership practices promoting employee welfare, environmental impact assessment, and Web3 technologies such as blockchain.
