Dr. Henry Tsai is an Associate Professor at the School of Hotel & Tourism Management of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his B.Sc. degree in management science from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan and both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the United States.
Prior to joining The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in August 2005, Dr. Tsai taught at UNLV as a graduate instructor and worked in Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and Fitzgerald’s Casino & Holiday Inn, both in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also worked for the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taipei.
Dr. Tsai’s main research interests are in the areas of casino and gaming management, hotel efficiency, ownership structure and corporate performance. His research has appeared in international journals and has attracted major grants from Hong Kong Research Grants Council, PolyU and other funding bodies.
